Out of the loop, and now 7 heroes what? - Guild Wars Forums

Yeah I've been out of it recently, I come back and see we're getting 7 heroes party, and that's the best ever right after GW itself and sliced bread. So many possibilities, so many hours I won't be wasting to come up with a decent group and so many nerves not burned because of someone leaving the pug mid-way in the game.

Anyway, we're getting it with the Embark Beach update, I see. And for what I read, it was supposed to be out this halloween? It hasn't, so has it been delayed? If so, is there a date for it? Or is it on the 'when it's ready' status?

Ah it was just rumours then. Suppose there's not any vague time frame for it neither, like, this year?

yeah its still just on the table at this time....there are other updates that are supposed to be happening as well (and some would say well past overdue)...like the dervish update .....
so we dont know what anet's time table is for getting these things out (but looking at past updates, I would say dont hold your breath)

I would guess that the latest would be just before GW2 release (for which we have no date). The most likely reason for the addition of Embark Beach and 7-hero parties is to make life in GW a little easier once the majority of the population moves to GW2.

That's awful logic. They need to emplyo this to essentially keep people playing GW (to finish HoM's or whatever) so that it doesn't become a game that people 'used to play' and keep it fresh in their minds up to GW2 beta and then release. Although they are living upto their awfully slow progress so who knows.

Rumours ive heard is skill update next thrusday maybe... doubt that will be the embark update as well... so.... i theory next month? Roughly what I would expect considering they have been working on skill update for a while now, im guessing that will be first and severely doubt we will get both at once.

I don't know about Embark, but I do remember reading one of the interviews which stated that the new 7 heroes will likely come out with the new content in Cantha for GW:B. Whether it happens like that, who knows

If you read the quote is does not say "7 hero parties" it says "fill your party with heroes"
this could mean 11 hero parties in the deep, etc
although 7 is most likely but i can dream

There is a bleary eyed programmer probably locked up in a dungeon working on the updates.
He never sees another human or speaks to one.
They simply email in the orders and never ask when it can reasonably be finished.

If he hasn't escaped or died then the updates will arrive some time.
